Description: This "Hot Spot" Copper John tied on an extended length size 10 Firehole 718 hook makes an effective all purpose nymph to imitate large to mid-sized insect larva. This fly is best used when stonefly and mayfly nymphs are prevalent in the water column and fish are keying in on subsurface bugs. We would recommend using this fly as a point fly in a nymph rig due to its size and effectiveness as a searching pattern.
