There is no wrong way to fish this Bugger. It could be stripped, jigged, or dead drifted. The chickabou feather tail has a lot of pulse and wiggle when it moves in the current. There is a bit of flash mixed in throughout the fly to capture the fish’s attention, and the bulked up soft hackle in the front really can move some water. This fly also imitates small crayfish very well. Tied on a size 12 barbless long shank jig hook, weighted with a black tungsten bead. Available in natural gray or olive.
Tied by Logan Messina in Solon, Maine.
