Single Buford
Time: Long Difficulty: Hard Season: Spring – Fall
The famous Buford! Sometimes I will tie it as a double, but here in Maine, our Muskie seem to favor smaller flies (6-8″). Most likely because the bait in our rivers is not as large as other Muskie areas throughout the country. Throw this pattern with sinking line and you’ll likely get some predator to bite.
INGREDIENTS
- Hook: 4/0-6/0
- Thread: Danville waxed flymaster 140 white
- Tail: Various colored flash, hackle feathers, and bucktail
- Body: Various bucktail
- Head Cement: any super glue will work
