BWO PARACHUTE
Time: Short Difficulty: Medium Season: Early spring, Late Fall, Winter
Blue winged olives (BWO’s) are one of the most prevalent bugs on the water come early spring, late fall, and even into the winter. Floating down the river like little sailboats, BWO’s are an easy meal late in the season for trout and salmon. This BWO is often the first fly I reach for if there is any insect activity during the late fall (late September-November). Dead drift and fished in sizes 16-20 for the best results!
